This week's science is all about circuit diagrams. Use the link above to access a BBC Bitesize lesson about how symbols are used to represent the different components (parts) of an electrical circuit.
The aim is to become familiar with the symbols. In school we would normally be looking at the real components and creating our own circuits, so to help you to understand what the symbols represent, I have added a sheet which shows images of the components and a sheet with the symbols. Both are labelled so you can match them up. There are also some memory flash cards and an activity to try. The activity asks you to label parts of a circuit diagram and then try and draw your own.
