Learning Together, Growing Together, Supporting Each Other

For literacy this week I would like you all to have a go at two acrostic poems. We have done acrostic poems before but here is a reminder of how to do them.

An acrostic poem is a very fun poem for children. Each acrostic poem has a topic idea running down the left side of the poem. Each letter in the topic word has a new word or short phrase that runs from left to right and is relevant to the topic word.

Below I have attached two sheets with the words SPRING and HERO on them vertically.

Here are a couple of examples of acrostic poems.

Super                                                 Curled up in a small fluff-ball

Cool                                                    All snug and warm

Happy                                                Thinking of milk

On time                                             Slowly falling to sleep
